45-Day Deadline Met for Overseas Voters
2016 Presidential General Election
2016 Presidential General Election

September 25, 2016 - If you are an overseas voter (UOCAVA) election officials are required to send your absentee ballot 45 days before an election for those who are registered and have requested a ballot. Last evening was that 45 day deadline. We completed sending all requests for overseas absentee ballots just before midnight. If you live or work overseas and submit a request within 45 days of the election, we will send your ballot as soon as possible, upon processing your form.

If you do not receive your absentee ballot in time to return it to our office to participate in the election, use the Federal Write-In Absentee Ballot (FWAB). The FWAB (SF 186) serves as a backup ballot for UOCAVA citizens. The FWAB can be used in all States to vote for federal offices (President/Vice President, U.S. Senate, U.S. Representative and Delegate or Resident Commissioner). If you receive your absentee ballot after submitting the FWAB, vote and return it as well. If both your original ballot and your FWAB are received by the deadline, only one will be counted.
