Extension of Candidate Filing Period for the Presidential Primary Election

When incumbents do not file for re-election the filing period is extended.


SANTA ANA, CA - The Registrar of Voters announced today that the nomination period has been extended until March 16, 2016, 5:00 p.m. for the offices listed below because the incumbent failed to file Nomination Papers by the March 11, 2016 deadline.

Any qualified person, other than the incumbent, can now file the Nomination Papers until March 16, 2016, 5:00 p.m., in the office of the Registrar of Voters, 1300 South Grand Avenue, Building C, Santa Ana, California. 

Business hours are:
8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

  • United States Senate

  • United States Congress, 46th District
