  Drive-Thru Voting and Registration Available

Until Midnight October 20th
A First in California - Registrar of Voters Offers Unique Voting Opportunity


Santa Ana, CA October 15, 2008 – The deadline to register to vote in the November 4, 2008 Presidential Election is October 20, 2008. In an effort to provide greater flexibility for citizens to participate in the election, the Orange County Registrar of Voters will remain open until midnight on the 20th to provide drive-thru voting and registration.

 

The Registrar of Voters is excited to be providing drive-thru voting and registration, a first in the State of California . “We are gearing up for a high voter turnout as we process thousands of voter registrations a day,” said Neal Kelley, Registrar of Voters. “We want to ensure that everyone that wishes to participate is given the opportunity to do so", he continued.

 

When:

Monday, October 20, 2008

5:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.

 

Citizens that wish to register or vote at the Registrar of Voters during normal business hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) may do so in their lobby.

1300 South Grand Avenue , Bldg. C
Santa Ana, California

Corner of Grand Avenue and McFadden

 

How:

Any eligible citizen may register to vote.

 

Any registered voter in Orange County may vote at the Registrar’s office.
