The ROV has recruited 463 poll workers for the CUSD Recall Election..
The ROV has 80 County employees willing to work as County Poll Workers for June 24th.

The ROV has recruited 86 poll sites for June 24th.

  
Late vote-by-mail voting for the Capistrano Recall Election is June 18th through June 24th.  Voters can apply in our Santa Ana office.


Second Pre-Election campaign disclosure statements were due yesterday covering May 11th through June 7th.

      We have mailed 74,575 vote-by-mail ballots for the Capistrano Recall Election and have received 16,923. You can access this data by clicking here.

» Final Official Vote Totals Posted for Primary
Our last steps to completing certification for the June Primary election are underway today.  Last evening we posted the final results for the election.  Final preparations includes preparing the statement of votes (a detailed breakdown of votes cast) and the certificates which are prepared for each winning candidate.  This process will be completed shortly and final totals will be submitted to the Secretary of State.

» Capistrano School District Recall Ballots Opened Beginning Today                                                Shown at right empty envelopes are stacked in trays from opened ballots for the Capistrano Recall election.  We began processing these ballots this morning and have opened all that we have received so to date.  The total opened and processed today was 16,923.  The election is June 24th and we will post these vote-by-mail ballots at 8:05 p.m. the evening of the 24th.

» Turning Voting Equipment Quickly for Recall Election Proves Challenging
Shown at right Registrar staff work to prepare voting booths for the Capistrano Recall election this morning.  This process includes resetting the booths to prepare them for the new election.  We will begin to distribute the equipment to poll sites for the June 24th election this coming Monday.  Providing such a quick turnaround requires additional efforts as we finalize the June Primary election.  
 
» Rosters Reconciled for Primary Election              Prior to certification we must go through each roster to determine the number of voters who signed the roster.  We then compare that total to our votes cast figures.  We must reconcile each one (for example if a provisional ballots was cast and the voter signed the incorrect roster).  This process is a part of the official canvas of the votes cast.

» Inventory Process for June Election Supplies Begins                                                                   Shown at left a Registrar staff member removes election supplies from boxes coming back from the June Primary election.  These supplies must be inventoried, cleaned and prepared for the upcoming Capistrano Recall election as well as the November Presidential election.  The majority of our supplies, such as vote signs pictured here, can be reused from election to election.
