MyBallot Program in Full Swing

One-of-a-Kind Student Program Grows

We are in the process of conducting our MyBallot Student Program with Loara High School in Anaheim and Pacifica High School in Garden Grove. Both schools will participate in an in-class presentation on the history of voting in the U.S. and election operations in California. After a visit to our office we conduct their elections.

Our Intern Program Grows in Popularity

During the summer of 2010 we had a great group of Community Outreach Interns; now that fall has arrived many of these interns have gone back to school, and a new batch has joined us. We currently have eight interns - some are in college, and some just graduated - who assist us in reaching our outreach goals. Most recently they hosted information tables at Golden West College, Irvine Valley College, and Cal State Fullerton (which was one of our most successful single day events).

The Spirit of Democracy

This fall we are partnering with Cal State Fullerton to host "The Spirit of Democracy" art project. Art students and artists from around Orange County are invited to submit their works of art that capture the excitement of elections, the importance of civic engagement, and the history of voting in America. The art will be displayed at Cal State Fullerton October 25-28. This display will be open to students and the public. For more information, or to get involved in the project, call us at 714-567-5197!

Success at the OC Fair

We were proud to participate in the OC Fair during the months of July and August. Our booth gave us an opportunity to speak to the public about the upcoming November election, to register people to vote, to recruit poll workers, and to share general election and voting information. We were "open for business" for all 24 days that the fair was open, which allowed us to speak to nearly 4,000 people.
